The initial symptoms of Covid-19 may include a loss of taste or smell, and other common symptoms can include shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing, muscle pain, shivering, a sore throat, pain in the chest or head, a runny nose and even conjunctivitis.

In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Covid-19 a pandemic. The Spanish Government declared a State of Alarm on March 13, 2020, and Academia Británica rolled out its system of online classes for all our students three days later, on March 16.

Since then, Academia Británica has worked in close contact with local, regional and state bodies to put directly into effect the health and safety measures recommended by the authorities, with the result that we were able to recommence face-to-face classes on July 1, 2020, with the ‘bimodal’ system combining face-to-face and online teaching that we now use for our classes.

As a result of this close collaboration with the authorities and the application and strict adherence to the regulations, we have introduced a large number of security measures and created an anti-Covid-19 public health protocol, which guarantees that all students, teaching staff and the rest of the Academia Británica team, can carry on with their learning, teaching or administrative work with the full assurance that their health and that of their families is never endangered.
