A little about us
Academia Británica are unquestionably the pioneers in language teaching in Spain. The school was founded in Córdoba in 1953, and since then, for nearly 70 years now, tens of thousands of students have learned English, French and German with us. It is a wealth of experience that we treasure. We were also the first to offer classes of Spanish for foreign students.
The history of Academia Británica runs parallel with the history of International House, which our school also founded. International House is the most prestigious global network of language schools in the world, present in 52 countries and with over 160 schools in some of the world’s best-known cities.
Academia Británica has four schools in Andalusia, in Córdoba and Huelva, and all are equipped with cutting-edge technology and extremely comfortable, well-adapted premises which are ideally suited to face-to-face learning. In addition, as part of our global network, International House has four schools in Madrid.
Academia Británica has kept well astride of current recent learning trends and offers our students an online teaching platform with materials, learning tips and 100% online availability.
Academia Británica has a team of over 100 professional language teachers in Andalusia, and another hundred in Madrid, all of whom are highly qualified, certified by Cambridge and the International House World Organization (IHWO) as professional language teachers, and keenly dedicated to their teaching of over 3000 male and female students each year.
At Academia Británica schools, we teach English, French, German and Spanish, and we have a wide network of contacts, a thriving educational community and an active, dynamic exchange of experience that is continually growing.
Academia Británica is an official Cambridge Examining Centre for the Cambridge Assessment suite of English language certificates, as well as an accredited Cervantes Centre for teaching Spanish.
